[Dwarf-Discuss] About DW_AT_external

   Hi,

As I understand, the tag DW_AT_external is meant to indicate whether a variable/function is accessible from outside the compilation unit containing the given dwarf DIE, right?

Or does it mean that the respective variable/function is defined outside of the compilation unit containing the dwarf DIE?
