# Add Language Codes For Roc Programming Language<br>

## Background<br>
<br>
Roc (<a href="https://www.roc-lang.org/" rel="noreferrer noreferrer" target="_blank">https://www.roc-lang.org/</a>) is a "fast, friendly, functional<br>
[programming] language" quickly advancing toward its first numbered<br>
release. The Roc compiler currently generates DWARF info in its<br>
compiled binaries to aid debugging and the community would appreciate<br>
recognition in the DWARF standard.[^thank]<br>

## Overview<br>
<br>
The Roc community politely requests<br>
<br>
1. the assignment of a Language and Version Code for the Roc<br>
programming language for DWARF Version 6; and<br>
2. the assignment of a Language Code for the Roc programming language<br>
for DWARF Version 5.<br>
<br>
## Proposed Changes<br>
<br>
For DWARF Version 6, we propose the following addition:<br>
