Thanks for mentioning this.  I have a filter on the gcc mailing
list for discussions about DWARF, but not on the gcc-patches list.

I'll take a look and offer some comments later.

My general bias is to fix and/or extend existing data formats, rather than
replace them with something completely different.   Worse, in my mind,
would be to replace an existing format with something which is almost the same.
